Papoutsas Rent a Car & Bike - Terms & Conditions
By completing a reservation, the renter acknowledges and accepts the following terms and conditions.
1) DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum age: 19 years
- Driving licence held for at least 1 year
- Premium vehicles require drivers aged 23+ years
2) SCOOTER LICENCE REQUIREMENTS

3) TRAFFIC FINES
All traffic fines and penalties during the rental period are the responsibility of the renter.
4) SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit via credit or debit card is required for all rentals, irrespective of the chosen method of payment. This deposit acts as a guarantee against any potential damage, loss, or additional charges and will be released upon the return of the vehicle in compliance with all rental terms and conditions.

Note: The security deposit is held temporarily and will only be charged in the event of damage, loss, or violation of the rental agreement. Choosing optional SCDW insurance reduces your financial liability in case of an incident.

5) INSURANCE
Included Insurance
- Third Party Insurance (TP)
Optional Insurance
- Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
- Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW)
- Tires & Glass Insurance (T&G)
Standard insurance does not cover tires, glass, wheels, or undercarriage unless otherwise stated.
VEHICLE DAMAGE
The renter is responsible for any damage not covered by the selected insurance package and for any damage resulting from negligence or breach of the rental agreement.
6) EXTRAS
- Additional driver: available at extra cost
- Child seats: free of charge, subject to availability
7) RENTAL CONDITIONS
- Minimum rental: 1 day (24 hours)
- Fuel: Fuel consumption is the renter's responsibility.
- VAT & taxes: included (24%)
- Vehicle models are subject to availability; a similar vehicle may be provided.
- Delivery/collection on request (extra charge may apply)
- Ferry transport of vehicles is not permitted.
8) VEHICLE USE RESTRICTIONS
- Vehicles may only be driven by drivers registered in the rental agreement.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
- Participation in races, competitions, or off-road driving is not permitted.
9) CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation terms depend on the selected payment option.
PAY NOW – Total Amount
Bookings paid in full are non-refundable. No refund will be issued in case of cancellation, modification, or no-show.
PAY NOW – Deposit (30%)
The 30% deposit is refundable only for cancellations made at least 15 days prior to the rental start date.
No refund will be issued for cancellations made 14 days or less before the rental start date.
All cancellation requests must be sent in writing.
